NodeSchool is a collection of workshops, that help you learn server-side JavaScript by writing code and solving challenges. All the attendees are divided into tight groups of 5 people with a mentor devoted to making their Javascript awesome! We would do workshops from node.js basics to writing node.js modules in C++, so this lab is suited for both beginners and experts! How to participate: Bring a laptop with you with node.js installed. You should have some exposure to javascript code. Note: THE LAB WILL BE HELD BOTH IN ITALIAN AND ENGLISH (more mentors will be present at the lab).

Matteo Collina

Architect - nearForm

Matteo is a code pirate and mad scientist. He spends most of his days programming in node.js, but in the past he worked with Ruby, Java and Objective-C. He recently defended his a Ph.D. thesis titled "Application Platforms for the Internet of Things". Now he is a Software Architect at nearForm, working on the nscale deployer. Matteo is also the author of the Node.js MQTT Broker, Mosca and of the LevelGraph database. Matteo spoke at several international conferences: Nodeconf.eu, LXJS, Distill by Engine Yard, and JsDay to name a few. In the summer he loves sailing the Sirocco.

I'm an engineer who loves anything about electronics, informatics and web. Ever since I was a child I enjoyed disassemble and repair computers. I still do it. I enjoy working in a team, I am sociable and patient. After graduating from high school I got my grad in computer engineering at Roma Tre University. Currently working as a developer at a startup: Stamplay. I love the web and I’ve always look for trying and experimenting new technologies like raspberry pi and arduino. Sooner or later I’ll build a robot.

Mathias Buus

Mathias is a Node.js hacker from Copenhagen, Denmark. He is a core contributor to the open data project, dat and tends to write a bunch of npm modules whenever he has time. Recently he's been working a lot with new ways of replicating of single purpose databases using leveldb and other mad science projects.

Richard Rodger

Richard Rodger is the CTO of nearForm.com, a Node.js consultancy that builds large-scale systems. Richard is the author of Mobile Application Development in the Cloud (Wiley 2012), and was formerly CTO of feedhenry.com, a mobile applications platform. He is a regular contributor to the Sunday Business Post newspaper in Ireland, and holds degrees in Mathematics and Philosophy, and Computer Science.

Daniele Scasciafratte has serious issues with of Open Source Contribution addicting. He should work in his web agency, Codeat in Rome, and in the rest of the day collaborate in many opensource projects. During the office hours for the WordPress world is a Core Contributor, plugin developer, project translator editor and WP Roma meetup co-organizer. He fight with the superpower of a Mozilla Rep for an open web, is co-leading the participation team of Mozilla Italia and sometimes is an italian gestures speaker.
